Vinay Nagaraju is the Executive Director of the Inclusion Economics India Centre. Based in New Delhi, he leads the overall administration of the Centre and its programmes across several states, overseeing core teams and providing strategic leadership to research programmes in partnership with Yale University.
Vinay brings around two decades of international professional experience in leadership and strategic management roles. Prior to joining Inclusion Economics at IFMR, he was a Quantitative Methods Instructor at Harvard Kennedy School, a Fellow at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy and a Democracy Governance Fellow at Harvard’s Ash Center.
He is also a Visiting Professor and serves on the Academic Board at the African Development University. His work spans institutional leadership, research management and strategic partnerships, with a focus on strengthening evidence-based approaches to development.
Vinay graduated from Harvard Kennedy School’s Mid-Career MPA as an Edward S. Mason Fellow in 2017. He also holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Bangalore University. He is a StartingBloc Social Innovation Fellow.
